Our Practice
Who We Are
Thornbridge is a Kuala Lumpur legal advisory practice. We work with individuals, families, and businesses on matters that call for careful, personalised attention.
← Back to HomeOur Story
Thornbridge came together from a recognition that legal advice, when done well, changes things — and when done poorly, creates more confusion than clarity. The practice was founded in Kuala Lumpur with a straightforward aim: to give individuals and businesses access to thoughtful legal guidance, delivered by people who take time to understand the full picture.
Over the years, three areas of focus have defined the practice — employment law, intellectual property, and family matters. These are areas where the stakes tend to be personal, where careful handling matters, and where clients benefit most from an advisor who will be candid rather than merely reassuring.
We are based in the Stonor Park area of Kuala Lumpur, and we serve clients across the Klang Valley and beyond. The pace of the work suits us: unhurried enough to get things right, responsive enough that clients are never left wondering what is happening with their matter.
Our Mission
To make considered legal counsel accessible — not as a last resort, but as a practical tool for navigating significant decisions with confidence and clarity.
Our Values
- Honesty — even when the answer is not what the client hoped for
- Care — for the person, not just the legal question
- Clarity — plain language wherever possible
- Discretion — professional confidentiality as a foundation, not an afterthought
- Responsibility — taking each matter seriously regardless of its scale

How We Work
The standards we hold ourselves to in every client engagement.
Malaysian Bar Compliance
All advisory services are conducted in accordance with the rules and professional standards of the Malaysian Bar. Our advisors hold current practising certificates.
Client Confidentiality
Legal professional privilege applies to all client communications. We do not share client information except as required by law or with explicit consent.
Clear Engagement Terms
Before beginning any matter, we provide a written summary of scope, fees, and process. No surprises, no ambiguous billing.
Regular Updates
We keep clients informed at each meaningful stage of their matter. If something changes, you will hear from us promptly, not when it becomes urgent.
Data Protection
Client documents and personal data are handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). Secure storage and controlled access are standard practice.
Current Legal Knowledge
Our advisors maintain up-to-date awareness of Malaysian legislation, case law developments, and regulatory changes relevant to their practice areas.
Legal Advisory Services in Kuala Lumpur
Thornbridge operates from Persiaran Stonor in central Kuala Lumpur, serving clients across the Klang Valley and throughout Malaysia. The practice covers three main areas: employment matters for both employers and individuals, intellectual property registration for businesses and creative professionals, and family law consultation for those navigating personal legal circumstances.
Each area of practice draws on a genuine depth of experience within the Malaysian legal framework. Advisory engagements are handled with attention to the practical realities facing each client — not just the technical legal position. Matters are discussed openly, fees are outlined in advance, and the time taken to understand the situation before recommending a course of action is considered part of the service, not a preliminary to it.
